Diane Alexandre

Diane Alexandre is a French born sculptor, living in Athens. For the past nine years, Diane has been developing her sculptural work, in clay and porcelain, through the prism of mythology, surrealism, mystagogic, subconscious dimensions and self-healing.

She creates symbolic works that channel deities and archetypes drawn from ancient cultures. Her practice evokes Nature’s power and human emotion through totemic forms.

Her work aims to impulse in her audience a desire to dig deeper in themselves. To see and feel whatever there is to witness and accept. She sees her creative world as a reflection of her inner pond, fleeting, opaque and beautiful, mirroring her ups, her downs, her doubts and beliefs, for everyone to see. Her artistic practice was born to mediate catharsis.
