Alejo Musich (b. 1987, Buenos Aires, Argentina) is a visual artist whose multidisciplinary practice encompasses painting, sculpture, drawing, installation, and site-specific interventions. His work explores the intersections of nature, culture, history, and mythology, constructing poetic narratives in which landscapes, animals, plants, and human figures become interconnected agents within evolving ecosystems of meaning.

Drawing from art history, literature, ecological thought, and the visual traditions of both Latin America and Europe, Musich develops richly layered compositions that challenge anthropocentric perspectives. His works often imagine alternative forms of coexistence between human and non-human life, proposing speculative worlds where distinctions between the natural and cultural realms become fluid and interdependent.

At the center of his practice is an interest in transformation, migration, and the circulation of images across time. Through meticulous attention to materiality and symbolism, Musich reconfigures familiar motifs into complex visual environments that invite reflection on collective memory, environmental vulnerability, and humanity’s relationship to the living world.

Musich studied at the National University of the Arts in Buenos Aires and has exhibited widely in Argentina and internationally. His work has been presented in museums, galleries, and institutional exhibitions throughout Latin America, Europe, and the United States, and is represented in numerous public and private collections.

PROJECTS

Group exhibition reconsiders Argentina’s surrealist artistic legacy from the unstable terrain of the contemporary world, displacing the human as its privileged subject and tracing agency across bodies, technologies, ecologies, matter, other forms of life, and invisible forces.
