Tatiana Gecmen Waldeck
Tatiana Gecmen - Waldeck is an independent art consultant, recognized for her expertise in ultra-contemporary art. With over 15 years of experience and a degree in International Culture and Business Studies, Gecmen-Waldek has established herself in the global artistic system with unparalleled proficiency and insight. Her portfolio includes collaborations with a diverse range of clients including private and corporate collections, galleries, auction houses, art fairs, and luxury brands.
As a member of the artistic committee of the Asia Now art fair in Paris in 2021, she initiated ‘Tehran Now’ a platform dedicated to the contemporary Persian art scene and curated its audio program “Variations on the Unexpected Theme”. The following year, she produced the acclaimed Paris and Palermo series by German photographer Axel Hütte, one of the leading figures of the Düsseldorf School of Photography. In 2022 She produced and curated the exhibitions ‘Entre les Mondes’ in Lisbon and ‘Merging Horizon’ in London.
Since 2022 Gecmen-Waldek has been curating two Artist-in-Residence programs. At Joali Maldives, a luxury resort in the Indian Ocean, she commissions artists working in collectible design, mixed media, VR, and AR to weave local impressions into their practice. At Serpetinis in Athens, a renowned Greek marble company with a 150-year family legacy of innovation, she bridges advanced material expertise with contemporary artistic vision, repurposing leftover stone into visionary works.
