Tatiana Gecmen Waldeck
Tatiana Gecmen Waldeck is an independent art curator and advisor, recognized for her expertise in ultra-contemporary art. With over 15 years of experience and a degree in International Culture and Business Studies, Gecmen-Waldek has established herself as a sought-after professional capable of navigating the global art world with unparalleled proficiency and insight. Her portfolio includes collaborations with a diverse range of clients including distinguished private and corporate collections, galleries, auction houses, art fairs, and luxury brands across major international art markets.
She was a pivotal member of the artistic committee of the Asia Now art fair in Paris in 2021, where she initiated and directed ‘Tehran Now,’ focusing on ultra-contemporary Iranian art. The following year, she produced the acclaimed Paris and Palermo series by German photographer Axel Hütte, one of the leading figures of the Düsseldorf School of Photography. In 2022 she produced and curated the exhibitions ‘Entre les Mondes’ in Lisbon and ‘Merging Horizon’ in London.
Gecmen-Waldek holds the position of Creative Director at Serpetinis, a prestigious Greek marble company with an uninterrupted family legacy spanning over 150 years. In this role, she oversees Serpetinis Artist-in-Residence program, skillfully bridging the company’s tradition of craftsmanship with the innovative vision of the innovative vision of emerging artists.
