Electra Soutzoglou

Electra Soutzoglou (b. 1986) is an art advisor, curator, and cultural entrepreneur whose work bridges contemporary art and traditional craftsmanship. With extensive experience across prestigious institutions—including the Guggenheim Museum, MoMA, Christie’s, David Zwirner Gallery, and Frieze Art Fair—her career has spanned both institutional and commercial sectors in the USA and Britain. After 14 years between Boston, New York, and London, she returned to Greece in 2019 to embark on new artistic ventures.

Her deep-rooted passion for contemporary art and heritage inspired the creation of Art Rug Projects by Soutzoglou, an initiative that transforms rugs into original works of art through collaborations with renowned artists. By integrating cutting-edge artistic expression with her family’s 125-year-old carpet weaving business, Electra reimagines tradition in bold, new ways. Alongside this project, she advises collectors on building their art collections and continues her involvement in Frieze as a VIP Consultant. She also serves on various committees, including the Museum of Cycladic Art and Outset Greece, actively contributing to the global art community.
