Red Corner Portraits: A Photo Series by Matías Iesari at the Little Red Door Members' Club

During the opening of Nocturne: Posthuman Dreams, Myths and the Invisible at the Little Red Door Club in Buenos Aires, photographer Matías Iesari created a series of portraits of the artists fetured in the exhibition and the guests of the opening.

The Red Corner Portraits were created in the club's signature red corner, an architectural intervention inspired by Irving Penn's celebrated Corner Portraits (1948–50), in which artists, writers, and cultural figures were posed within the confines of a sharply angled space. Reimagined in deep crimson, the corner at the Little Red Door Members' Club transforms Penn's psychological experiment into a contemporary social stage. Within its dramatic geometry, artists, collectors, patrons, and friends of the project briefly stepped away from the opening's festivities, each negotiating the space in a distinct way. The resulting photographs are at once individual portraits and a collective record of the community that gathered to inaugurate Nocturne.

The photo series brings together the artists featured in Nocturne alongside collectors, patrons, and cultural figures who gathered for the opening night. Among those photographed are curator Ekaterina Juskowski and curatorial assistant Carolina Kleine Samson; exhibiting artists Max Gómez Canle, Joaquín Aras, Jonathan Barbieri, Francisca Rey, Maximiliano Ocampo Salinas Valentin Asprella Lozano, Alejo Musich; as well as Rossella Della Giovampaola, Ana Paula Dutil, Claudia Faena, Belén Delaney, María Casado, Wally Diamante, Francisca Rey, Eugenia Rebolini, Lucas Grimaldi, Andrea "Tucu" Martínez, Larisa Zmud, Solana Tixi, Juan Cabral, Juan Hernández Daels, Lola Rollandi and others.
